Dear friends in Christ;
Welcome to the website of St. Marks' Lutheran Church!  We are truly blessed as a congregation of God's People who gather together for worship, education, food, fellowship, support and service to God and those around us.  Check out the various activities and photos, plus our interactive ministry calendar to learn more about what's going on at St. Mark's Lutheran Church.

This Week at St Mark's
February events:

Sunday, February 7 - Super Bowl  Sunday events
  Souper Bowl food collection - Bring cans of soup or other perishable food item to church and place them in/by the soup cauldren in the front of the church. The food items collected will go to the Backpack program and the Olathe Food Pantry.

  Super Bowling at Mission Bowl West, 1020 S. Weaver, Olathe. All ages are invited. Cost $5/person (includes 2 hours of bowling and shoe rental.)

Tuesday, February 16 - Men's Breakfast at Bob & Dee's Restaurant - (175 N. Moonlight Rd., Gardner) Come join us!

Wednesday, February 17 - Ash Wednesday worship service will be held at 515 S. Ridgeview Rd. location at 7:00 pm

Wednesday night Lenten worship services will be held at 515 S. Ridgeview Rd. at 7:00 pm. The theme for this years lenten services is: Living Lent - the animals tell the story. Due to space constraints there will be no Soup Suppers before the worship services this year.

St. Mark's is still worshiping at 515 S. Ridgeview Road on Sunday mornings at our regular times, 8:30 Traditional worship and 11:00 Contemporary worship. Sunday school for all ages, Pre-K and up is available. Be sure to download and print the Sunday School Registration Form for the 2009-2010 year.

Building Update
 
The relocation of the church offices is complete. The storage facility is filled. This move was a huge undertaking in a short amount of time.  The people of St. Mark's stepped up to the plate and things got done quickly. Too many people were involved in the undertaking to list names but our thanks go out to each and everyone of you.
 
We have now entered the transition phase of our building project. People are working hard to continue the Worship Services and Sunday school classes in this new atmosphere. Our small group gatherings and committee meetings will be located as space allows; some will meet in the new office space at 720 South Rogers Road Suite C200, some at the Olathe Christian School on Wednesday nights as space allows, and others in members homes. Watch the Sunday bulletins for location, dates and times of your group. If you have concerns you can contact Nancy at the church office, 913-764-4496.
 
The finance committee continues to work out the final details of the financing for the new building. An announcement will be forth coming as soon as the information is finalized.
