Dear friends in Christ;
Welcome to the website of St. Marks' Lutheran Church!  We are truly blessed as a congregation of God's People who gather together for worship, education, food, fellowship, support and service to God and those around us.  Check out the various activities and photos, plus our interactive ministry calendar to learn more about what's going on at St. Mark's Lutheran Church.

   This Week at St Mark's  

 
The Church Council and Building Committee continue to work with the Realtor on the sale of the current church building and property.  Hopefully we will know if the buyer gets approval for his financing by the end of this month with a move date of the middle of July.  When the news is forth coming we will send an e-mail out plus it will be on the church's web page.  Continue to ask God's guidance in this undertaking.
 

The results of the Special Congregational meeting called by the Church Council to consider and vote on the Sales Contract between St. Mark's Lutheran Church Inc. and Olathe Christian School was approved by a 87% vote for the proposal, 9% no vote and 4% abstained.

4th of July weekend, Sunday, July 5, we will be having only one service at 9:30 am.
 
An Al-Anon group meeting at St. Mark's on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. Al-Anon family groups are an anonymous fellowship of families and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength and hope in order to solve their common problems. We believe alcoholism is a family illness and the changed attitudes can aid recovery.Al-Anon has but one purpose: to help families of alcoholics.

   2009 ELCA Youth Gathering  
Friends-n-Faith are raising funds to attend 2009 ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans - July 22-26, 2009

St. Mark's high school youth group, Friends-n-Faith, are raising funds to so that they can attend the ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans in July 2009. They will be holding a series of fundraising events that they hope you can attend.

FUND RAISING EVENTS:
June 28 - 9:30am - Biscuits 'n Gravy breakfast in the fellowship hall
July 11 - Dinner at Crickets (reservations filled)
