September 11 - Starlight Theatre, “Mamma Mia” Friday, September 11. We have 16 tickets reserved for $18.75/person in the Terrace 3 Section, LL 13-16, MM 13-20 and NN 13-16. Show begins at 8:00 pm. We can car pool from St Marks. Sign up sheet is on the Fellowship bulletin board. Make payment out to St Mark’s and give to Janice Ballantyne in order to receive your ticket.
Mamma Mia storyline
An independent, single mother who owns a small hotel on an idyllic Greek island, Donna is about to let go of Sophie, the spirited daughter she's raised alone. For Sophie's wedding, Donna has invited her two lifelong best girlfriends, but Sophie has secretly invited three guests of her own. On a quest to find the identity of her father to walk her down the aisle, Sophie brings back three men from Donna's past to the Mediterranean paradise they visited 20 years earlier. Over 24 chaotic, magical hours, new love blooms and old romances are rekindled on this lush island full of possibilities.
Local dancing queens will delight in the smash hit musical by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus based on the songs of ABBA. Inspired by the storytelling magic of memorable tunes from "Dancing Queen" and "S.O.S." to "Money, Money, Money" and "Take a Chance on Me," MAMMA MIA! is a celebration of mothers and daughters, old friends and new family found.
